Next week, we'll be getting in some new lights at South Hedland Aquatic Centre which will allow us to open earlier and close later.
Lighting works will take four days to complete, but where possible, we will complete the works in sections to minimise the disruption to pool users.
- Monday, 17/06 – 50m Pool Closed
- Tuesday, 18/06 – Whole Facility Closed
- Wednesday, 19/06 – 50m Pool Closed
- Thursday, 20/06 – 50m Pool Closed
The Leisure Pool will be accessible throughout lighting works except on the 18th when the whole facility will be closed for safety purposes while machinery is moved into the area. Pool users are however reminded to take note of signage in the area and to stay clear of works around the 50m Pool at all times.
On completion, the new lights will improve the safety for night time swimmers and sporting clubs using the facility, as well as improve the facility's energy efficiency.
Swim School will operate on all days except for the 18/06.
